My first guitar lesson today - I feel half stupid trying something so far out of my realm at 31, but what fun! And I am learning a song (albeit a kid song) and it's getting easier. There may be hope for me yet.

Most of my hobbies - working out, reading, writing - are things I do at home - there's really nothing that gets me out of the house and out and about unless I deliberately make plans...This gets me out of the house for sure once a week, and it's all my own.

Anyone else have a fun hobby!?

Yay! I've tried musical things, but just don't have the ear. Good for you! I hope you find joy in it!

My ridiculous hobby of late, although it doesn't get me out of the house, is entering sweepstakes on-line. Won a trip to New York a few months ago & a $300 Best Buy gift card a few weeks ago, but, mostly, it's just t-shirts, water bottles & two-for-one coupons.

Know what I could do with a $300 gift card from Best Buy?! Whew. That's most certainly pretty cool.... I need to enter sweepstakes! I know someone who won $10,000 AND a new hot tub in one month. Whoooooooooooooo!

It was intended to buy a Wii (that was the 'prize', but it's awarded in the form of a $300 GC). So, instead, we're getting two new cameras (if it ever comes!) - one to replace my stepdaughters, which she has so lovingly shared with us over the past few years & which broke a few weeks ago, when sand got in the lens. And another for us, so that we won't have to use her camera anymore
